Rabbi
Susan Stone is a native of Brooklyn,
NY, and was graduated with an AB in History from Vassar College in
June 1978. She holds a Masters' Degree in Hebrew Letters (MAHL)
from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, awarded
in 1982. She received ordination from their Cincinnati campus in
1983 and has held a variety of Rabbinic Positions in the Greater
Cleveland area since then, save for one year as Director of Religious
Activities and Chaplaincy Services at Vassar College.
Rabbi Stone has been
at TBS since 1994 and was married to the late John C. Stone. She has
two sons, Charles and Jacob.
Cantorial soloist Robin Selinger grew up in Arlington, Texas, and earned both bachelors and Ph.D. degrees in physics at Harvard University. She moved to Hudson in 2005 to join the faculty in the Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University, where she holds the rank of full professor. Before moving to Ohio, she worked as a part-time songleader and music teacher at Temple Shalom of Chevy Chase, Maryland, and since 2005 she has taught music for the Cleveland Hebrew Schools. She is also an active member of the Hava Nashira songleaders' community and manages two Jewish music websites, Totshabbat.com and Hotshabbat.com.
Robin has been a member of TBS since 2005 and joined the staff in 2006. She is married to Jonathan Selinger and they have two sons, Joseph and David.
Oudi Singer, Youth Leader, is a native of Israel and will be expanding his role at Temple Beth Shalom.
He obtained a degree in Rehabilitation from Kent State and also holds a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling. He works for the Community Health Center in Akron as a Substance Abuse Counselor for adults. Oudi has also published articles in the International Journal of Psycho Social Rehabilitation. While at KSU, Oudi also met his wife Carrie, who is from Avon. He currently teaches both Hebrew and Sunday School for the Temple. |
